Saddest news ever: Deidrichs may close
My coffee shoppe from back home, Deidrichs may be closing as early as November 6th. Two friends of mine, confirmed the rumor.
Where am I going to get coffee when I go home??? Starbucks?
I am just so sad today.

I heard this rumor too, I think if I refuse to believe it, it won't happen. That building is so cool looking, sometimes I just sit and admire it. Eeeww, starbucks? Mike
lauren - i think they are closing because the Upper Hand is expanding. i'm not sure about what prompted the owner to cut the deal - if he just got a really good price, or what. My friend Joe says as early as Nov 6. They may relocate to the med center (gross).
yeah, i have heard good things about brasil, and enjoyed some momens there but as you can tell by my rant above, i didn't go to DC for the good coffee :) dennis, tell your brother and his family i said hi and i am alive and well in D.C.

My friend Joe confirmed the bad news. I have yet to find anything in D.C. worthy to Deidrichs. sorry guys, have some coffee there for me :(
Sad is right. But they are looking for a place according to Ashley. Nothing will replace the original.

Cafe Brasil has reasonably good coffee, and it is cooler than DC, except you can't just sit and read there if it gets busy...
